We hope you can join us on one of VYC's most popular Up The Bay destinations.

We are still looking for a volunteer chorus to sing “See You in September” (the Happenings 1966) but we will have copies of the lyrics available. Even if you cannot sing, we hope that indeed we will see you in September at YRYH!

The Change of Watch weekend, October12-15, will hopefully prove to be a fun and
interesting one. Thursday night will be like in the past. Everyone who decides to come
that night will cook their entrées on the grill and bring a dish to share. As usual, Craig
Dozier is offering a night free, if you stay three nights. She will also provide wine and
beer for the evening.

THE VYC CHRISTMAS PARTY will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017
at the Towne Point Club in Norfolk, Virginia.
We have arranged for a block of rooms to be made available at Hilton
Norfolk THE MAIN for the night of the 15th for those who want to stay
in town after the party. We have negotiated a low standard room rate of
$129.00. Reservations must be made before November 15th.

Craig Dozier and Regatta Point are offering night free dockage Thursday May 3, for those staying Friday and Saturday. Regatta Point has graciously offered to provide the beer and wine for the evening. Please bring your meat to grill and a dish to share.

The highlight of the VYCFest cruise will be a 6pm to 9pm outing
Saturday evening on the “Virginia Elite” a recent addition to the Norfolk
waterfront. She is 70’ with 2 air conditioned decks and an open floor
plan (see https://www.spiritcruises.com/norfolk/virginia-eliteyacht/
photos-video ). A full bar will be open for the cruise and there will
be a nice selection of entrees and sides for dining. We will be picked up
at the Tidewater Marina and returned just before the fireworks get
underway at 9:30 pm.

Join your fellow VYC’ers for an Across the Bay resort weekend at the
Cavalier Golf and Yacht Club, July 13-16! All the club’s amenities will be
available for your enjoyment-- tennis, pool, golf, paddle boards, and access
to the club’s wine vault. This year, along with the traditional VYC Cavalier
bocce ball tournament, we will be adding a blind kayak race!!

We will be docked at the Inner Harbor East Marina, which is in the newest part of this water front city. The marina now has new floating docks, new electric pedestals and very secure security. Plus the dock master’s quarters features a lounge, comfortable showers and washer and dryers.
